7Nov06   Here's a pic of the Clevite .002 over rod bearing on the left vs. the Speed Pro bearing on the right.  Notice the oil groove cut into the Speed Pro bearing.  Since the Callies crank rod journals have a large radius, and Clevite bearings don't come with a bevel like the Speed Pro bearings, I had to have the Clevite bearings turned in a lathe to add the required bevel.

7Nov06   Main bearings.  These are the 'upper' half.  Clevite is on the left, Speed Pro on the right.

7Nov06   Engine on the stand with the oil pan off and the crankshaft removed.  I didn't need to remove the cylinder heads or piston assemblies.

8Nov06   Here's a pic of the assembly with the new bearings and crankshaft installed.

8Nov06   High volume Melling M-55-HV is on the left.  Standard volume MEL-155 is on the right.  Notice how much "thicker" the HV pump is.

8Nov06   High volume Melling M-55HV is on the left.  Std. vol. MEL-155S is on the right.  Notice the MUCH larger pick-up screen on the HV pump and the MUCH larger pick-up tube on the std. pump on the right.

11Nov06   Fully assembled and painted LT1 ready to be reinstalled.

16Nov06   These are the rear suspension springs.  The Eiback is on top. Standard spring below.  I removed the Eibachs and replaced them with the stock springs.

16Nov06    These are the front suspension springs and struts.  The Eiback is on top. Standard spring below.  I removed the Eibachs and replaced them with the stock springs and De Carbon struts.
